The International Conference on the Structure of Non-Crystalline Materials (NCM) is held every 3 years. It is a conference for scientists who study the structure of glass, and it has been held regularly ever since 1976. The first conference of the series was chaired by Phil Gaskell, and organised by the Society of Glass Technology. The most recent conference in the series, NCM14, took place recently in Kobe, Japan, on 3-8 November 2019
The last time the conference was held in the UK was NCM8, which was hosted by Neville Greaves in Aberystwyth in 2000.
