The 13th International Symposium on Crystallization in Glasses and Liquids is the continuation of a series of successful meetings organized by the ICG Technical Committee (TC07 - Crystallization and glass-ceramics) (International Commission on Glass). Crystallization2020 will be an international forum for discussion giving participants an overview of the state of the art in crystallization research, from fundamental aspects to innovative glass-ceramics products.

Topics

Fundamental approaches to nucleation, crystal growth and diffusion
Simulations, modeling, theory
Relationships between glass structure and nucleation
Liquid phase separation, heterogeneities
Properties of glass-ceramics (thermal, magnetic, mechanical, electrical, optical, chemical)
Advanced methods, techniques and characterization tools (in-situ, real time, space resolution)
Developments and novel nucleation/crystallization processes, including photo-, laser-induced crystallization
Role of nucleating agents
New glass-ceramics and applications
Used of glass-ceramics and crystallized glasses for waste storages

We recently added the list of invited speakers and a special issue will appear in Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids.

Deadline for abstract submission: 1st April 2020
